Summary: In “Join the Flock,” Hadley Ferguson discusses the importance of professional learning networks, blog spots and a PLN in education. According to Ferguson a PLN is a community of individuals around the world who are learning together, and twitter is the adequate tool to create one. To introduce twitter Ferguson gave specific steps in how to start a social life using twitter. First, set up an account, write a bio and upload a photo of yourself. Second, learn to follow the adequate people with similar interests. Third, tap into great lists. Fourth, watch and listen by visiting and commenting in contact’s posts. Fifth, give generously by retweeting. Sixth, expose yourself and share ideas with your followers. Seventh, tag your tweet and use hashtags to give your tweets more exposure. By doing all the above steps one will find tweeter an useful tool to improve communication in education. 


 Question: Why do you think tweeter is important in education? During the past weeks, I was introduced to tweeter, and my teacher along with this article explained the importance of tweeter in education. It is important mainly because it is used to be in contact with others with similar interests, and to build relationships with colleagues.

 Summary: In “Enhance your tweeter experience,” McClintock gives a more advance introduction to tweeter. Tweeter is described as an investing time since it has provided wonderful experiences to users: teachers, students and others. McClintock, advices to install a tweeter organizer and Tweet Deck is the most recommended because it is more easy to use. It organizes the tweeter into columns such as all friends, mentions, and direct messages. In this article the benefits of tweets with a bookmarklets are also explained. A bookmarklets Hootlet allows users to share important information with others. Indeed, is also stated that the 70% of tweeter should be used as sharing, 20 % in responding, and 10% in chatting and creating relationships. 

 Question: Why is bookmarklet Hootlet useful? Bookmarklet Hootlet is a tool within Hootsuit and  it facilitates sharing among individuals.  It is really useful because it allows to send resources using tweeter or other social networks.  In education it is important because teacher use it to share important educational information. With bookmarklet Hootlet people don’t rely on emails to share articles, news, or articles.
