Summary: In this article Jesse Morehouse discusses the importance of students’ securing when using internet. He states that students are unaware of the privacy implications of social networks. In addition he mentions that postings in social networks, personal blogs and twitter accounts can affect students when applying for jobs, running for elected office or even trying to get a date. In order to make students comprehend the importance of online privacy, Morehouse made students experience a real situation. Students collected information and they were able to determinate validity of such information. At the end students learned to appropriately share information when using social media.

Question 1:Why is it important internet safety? Many people are unaware of the importance of privacy when using social networks. It is important for people to be careful since if they don’t use appropriate privacy they can face problems to find a job or even face problems to find a date.

Question 2: Why do you think it is important to teach students the importance of online privacy? It is important to teach students about the importance of privacy  because sometimes it is the only place where they can have access to education about privacy. If educators do not provide such information to students, students won't know the consequences, and they will probably deal with problems because of their unawareness of privacy when using a sort of social network.
